This knowledge is intended to **configure and view the knowledge in the&#x20;**<font color="#3b9f0f">**Knowledge Portal**</font>**&#x20;by the user that does not have a login and password**.

## Before getting started

- [x] The environment needs to be with the online environment and with the index
  &#x20;functionality **(SOLR) activated**.&#x20;
- [x] It is necessary to know the URL address to access
  &#x20;the Knowledge Portal.

## Procedure

### <font color="#3b9f0f">Step 1\:</font>

1. Access the main menu `System > Settings > Knowledge Management (Indexing)`;
2. Click on "**Update the index server**";
3. Click on "**Confirm**".

### <font color="#3b9f0f">Step 2\:</font>

1. Access the main menu `System > Settings > Knowledge Portal > Customize`;
2. To change the logo and background of the header, it is necessary to respect
   &#x20;the size that is presented on the screen;
3. In the **Access** field, enable the field "**Enable External Access**" to the
   &#x20;option **YES**;
4. Click on "**Save**".

### <font color="#3b9f0f">Step 3\:</font>

1. Access the main menu `Processes > Knowledge Management > Knowledge`;
2. To create new knowledge, click on the "**Operations**" options button and then
   &#x20;on "**Add new knowledge**";
3. To edit an existed knowledge, search for the knowledge through the filters
   &#x20;available and then click on "**Edit**";
4. Complete the fields available and pay attention to the following fields:
   - **Privacy** field,
     &#x20;that should be <u>Public</u>; and 
   - **Access** should be <u>External</u>;
5. In the **Publish** field, enable the key to the option **YES**.

## What to do next

Access the <font color="#3b9f0f">**Knowledge Portal**</font> and search for some knowledge without login into it.
