Registering Definitive Media
This functionality has the objective to register the authorized and definitive versions of all Configuration Items (CI) of Software in a safe way. It can have configuration items associated with licenses and documentation.
This feature provides a variety of actions, such as including, changing, and deleting a definitive media.
Procedure
- Access the functionality through the main menu Processes > Configuration Management > Configuration Item > Media Software;
- For creating a definitive media complete the fields available:

Name (*) | Name of definitive media |
Physical Address (*) | The physical address of the definitive media |
Logical Address | The logical address of the definitive media |
Type of Media (*) | Select the type of media of the definitive media |
Type of Software | Select the software type of the definitive media |
License Type | Select the type of license of the definitive media |
No. of licenses | Set the number of licenses allowed for use |
Version | Define the final media version |

3. Click on "Save";
4. To search for some definitive media access the "definitive media search" tab and select the media to be able to view, edit or delete.
