Searching Configuration Item
In the Configuration Item Management screen, it is allowed to perform IC queries in various ways in the search field.
📌 IMPORTANT!
when triggering the first key on the screen, it will activate the search to bring results with child configuration items. If the key is not activated, only the parent configuration items will be shown.
Before getting started
To search for the configuration items, it is necessary:
To register previously a configuration item and the type of configuration item.
Procedure
- Access the functionality through the main menu Processes > Configuration Management > CMDB;
- Click on the search field. The search can be by the specific name of the configuration item or type of configuration item;
- For more specific filters, click on the "Down arrow" symbol icon:
By Group
- It allows to view the configuration item of a certain group;
- Click on the "Group" button and choose the group;
- Click on the "Search" icon ;
- To return to the home screen, click on the "Left arrow" symbol icon.
By Type
- It allows to view the type of configuration item;
- Click on the "Type" button and choose the type of configuration item;
- Click on the "Search" icon ;
- To return to the home screen, click on the "Left arrow" symbol icon.
By Alert
- It allows viewing the configuration item related to the process of Request, Incident, Problem, Change, and Release;
- Click on the "Alert" button and choose the type of process;
- Click on the "Search" icon ;
- To return to the home screen, click on the "Left arrow" symbol icon.
