Registering Nagios Generic Manager
The purpose of this functionality is to register and maintain the generic managers, who will be responsible for monitoring the hosts and/or services of the Nagios monitoring tool.
The managers allow the monitoring of all hosts or all services in a generic way, that is, without the need to choose a specific host for monitoring. The purpose is to simplify the monitoring of an entire network in search of the relevant events for the business.
This feature provides a variety of actions, such as including, changing, and deleting a Nagios generic manager.
Before getting started
To register the Nagios generic manager, it is necessary:
To register previously the CITSmart Event Monitor connection, the time, occurrence category, automatic action; and
The CITSmart Inventory connection.
Procedure
- Access the functionality through the main menu Processes > Event Management > Nagios > Nagios Generic Manager;
- Complete all fields available;
- Click on "Save".
